Heatwave Review
The movie "Heatwave" was based of during the Watts riots that occurred in 1965. During this time, the African-American community was being abused for being a different color other than white. However, a man named Bob Richardson was an African-American that was employed in the Los Angeles times as a messenger. What Bob taught me was that I have to be proactive to obtain what I want no matter if I am a minority. Furthermore, the movie also taught me to say the truth but the truth had to be my truth no else's. This to me is an important lesson because if you do not say the truth no one will believe you and your career as a journalist could possibly end. That is what happen to the man from 60 minutes who lied about being in a helicopter that was shot in Iran but that was all false.
